Reaching Beyond Hospital Walls

Good Samaritan Medical Center was founded on its dedication to improving the overall health and wellbeing of our community members and beyond. Since 1968, when the hospital treated its first patient, hailing from Dorchester in Boston, we have worked to be an accessible, trusted source of care for our neighborhood and 22 surrounding communities.

Our care teams work in partnership with residents and community leaders to address the most pressing health issues affecting our patients and neighbors. Good Samaritan is involved in community outreach, participating in city and neighborhood events to hear from residents, and providing education on prevention, self care, and disease management.

Compassionate Care for All

As part of its commitment to serving the unmet needs of our community, Good Samaritan Medical Center works to address root causes of poor health outcomes, moving upstream to treat the social, financial, and environmental determinants of health.

Good Samaritan delivers person-centered, culturally sensitive care, aspiring to create an environment of inclusion for all patients and community members. In addition, Good Samaritan aims to bridge gaps in access and care by providing culturally and linguistically appropriate healthcare services the meet the needs of the communities we serve.
