Fight the Flu! Get a Flu Shot at an Employee Clinic

Good Samaritan Medical Center staff can receive a flu shot by visiting Employee Health Services in the Medical Office Building at 830 Oak Street, Suite 121E., which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m to 4 p.m. Please call 508-427-3758 ahead of visiting to confirm the team is in the office and not rounding in the hospital giving flu vaccines.

Fight the Flu! Get a Flu Shot at an Employee Clinic

St. Elizabeth's Medical Center staff can receive a flu shot by visiting our flu clinic at the back of Seton Auditorium. The clinic has the following schedule:

‌Thursday, Oct. 24, 6 a.m. - 1 p.m.
‌Sunday, Oct. 27, 7 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
‌Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2:30-6 p.m.
‌Thursday, Oct. 31, 6 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Please email yassara.gomes@bmc.org to schedule an appointment with EHS for a high-dose flu vaccine if you are 65 years or older and interested.

If already vaccinated for the season, please send proof to yassara.gomes@bmc.org.

Access BMCHS Email Inbox

You now have a @‌bmc.org email address and access to your BMC email. Please note the important dates and details below:

Steward Email Transition

Starting October 1, an out-of-office message will be automatically sent to senders, notifying them that your email address has changed. Your new email address will be included in this out-of-office message.
You will continue to have read-only access to your Steward mailbox until November 30.
You will not be able to respond or create new email messages from your Steward email starting October 1.
Your email will not migrate to your BMC account. Please save important messages and email attachments to your BMC OneDrive through November 30.

BMC Health System Email and Calendar Access

Access your email and calendar from desktop or your phone by visiting mail.bmc.org.
Instructions will be coming soon on how to add BMC mail to your phone.
You will need to reschedule all meetings using your BMC calendar.
If you forgot your BMC email address or password, please call the BMC Service Desk at 617.414.4500.

BMC Health System Human Resources and Compliance related policies apply to Good Samaritan and St. Elizabeth’s employees immediately. We will be updating other policies to align with BMC Health System over the next several months. Although we welcome you to begin to familiarize yourself with BMC Health System policies, until further notice, please continue to rely on current Good Samaritan and St. Elizabeth’s policies available to you on the Steward MCN Policy Management Platform other than those related to Human Resources and Compliance.

Transferring Files to BMC OneDrive

You will continue to have access to your files until November 30, 2024. After that time access will be turned off so it will be important to migrate your files to BMC OneDrive and Teams. We've assembled step-by-step instructions in this guide.

Remember that in order to protect patient information and other sensitive documents, never send any work emails or files to your personal accounts or personal thumb drives. This includes not saving files to your local computer desktops.

To report issues that may impact patient care, employees should work with their managers to escalate to the Command Center, which has been set up to support the transition to BMC Health System, by calling 508.427.2437 for Good Samaritan Medical Center and 617.789.3398 for St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.

There will be no changes to how non-patient care issues should be logged or managed. Please continue using your existing processes to report any issues.

How do I access my personal employee information, including my paystub?

In Workday, you can access your personal employee information, your paystub, your benefits information, and much more. To access Workday, you will use the same password and authentication proces you used during your initial onboarding. Please see these tip sheets for more information on setting up access and onboarding.

Who do I contact for technical support?

Should I start using BMC platforms and systems for my work or for HR tasks?

The team is currently developing a full integration plan for BMCHS Epic and other BMC systems. Details of that plan will be made available in the future.

Unless otherwise notified, please follow the below instructions:

Computer: Continue using your Steward credentials to sign into your computer
Intranet: You will continue to have access to the Steward intranet and the links contained within it.
Meditech: Access to Meditech or other applications will not change. Continue using the same username and password that you are using today.
Timekeeping: If you submit a timesheet for your time worked, please use BMC's Kronos platform.
Personal information and benefits: Going forward, you will be able to find personal information, benefits and salary information, and more in BMC’s Workday.
